The ancient town of Lagos, situated towards the western end of the Algarve, is steeped in history. The centuries old fortress stands guard at the river entrance, and it was here that Henry the Navigator had his legendary school. Lagos is the site of Europe's earliest known slave market. Beaches close to the town are of soft golden sand, while in the evenings cosmopolitan Lagos has much to offer. >>> See Properties
Carvoeiro is a picturesque fishing village nestling between high cliffs which rise steeply from tiny village square and the delightful beach. The village is located just east of Portimao and is a wonderful blend of traditional fishermen's cottages and new holiday villas set in the hillside. There are several stunningly beautiful local beaches either side of Carvoeiro. Nearby are the amazing rock formations at Algar Seco. >>> See Properties
Albufeira, one of the most popular resorts on the Algarve, has retained its charm and character, particularly in the old town. It is built on and between the hills overlooking the Atlantic. Tiny whitewashed houses with terracotta-tiled roofs line the narrow cobbled streets all the way to the fisherman's beach. A craggy promontory divides Albufeira's two beaches at high tide. >>> See Properties
