Cassa Penn (22b Rua da Balmereino). Having been a subject of refurbishments 22b is now a superb 3-bed room 2-bath room Ocean Front property in an enviable location overlooking the sea. From the garden overlooking the beach and promenade lined with palm trees, there are uninterrupted views to the Black Rock (Rochas Negras). The location could not be better for families and couples alike.
For clients who may not wish to be reliant on a car, the lovely sandy beach and an assortment of restaurants and bars to suit all tastes are literally just a 2-minute stroll away. For the more discerning shopper or an evening out, Lagos with it’s abundance of shops, restaurants and bars sprawling out onto its traditional cobbled streets can be reached by an 8 minute taxi or bus ride taken from the local church
Ground floor accommodation, with approximately 11 steps leading down to the front door which in turn leads into the hall and consists of:
Two twin bedded rooms with fitted wardrobes sharing a full modern bathroom and the master is a large bright double bedroom with fitted wardrobes and full stylish en-suite shower/wet room (basin and WC). This master bedroom has patio doors leading to the flowered garden & private splash pool. Each bedroom has fitted ceiling fans.
The fully fitted kitchen is equipped with a full cooker, washing machine/tumble drier, dishwasher, toaster, microwave, iron & board and all the usual utensils.
The large lounge / dining room has L-shaped comfortable seating, Apple TV which supplies Netflix Sky News and movie channels. WiFi. There is a dining table and chairs. From the lounge large patio doors lead onto the pool & paved garden. BBQ'S are not permitted at 22b
There is a private “dip pool” (approx. 3.5m x 2.5m x 1.4 deep – shallow part 80cm) with ladder steps, set in a good sized patio. There is an assortment of outside furniture for relaxing, al-fresco dining and sunbathing.

As a family of 5 we spent seven lovely, relaxing days in 22b . A return visit to a much loved area
The apartment feels more like a villa really. The rooms are well proportioned, clean and nicely equipped and furnished. It feels like a home rather than a holiday rental. The large main living room opens onto a patio with a small pool and a direct view overlooking the beach and promenade. There is a panoramic view of the sea and distant cliffs. In hot weather the combination of a pool and a gentle sea breeze was wonderfully refreshing, and the sound of the waves lapping the shore was restful during the night..
The town itself has great facilities, services, and restaurants, The beach and promenade has several cafes, shops and stalls including a selection of water based activities. Local people are welcoming and friendly.
Val's preparation, arrangements and responsive support and service was flawless and left us feeling safe and in competent hands.

AUGUST 2024 : The apartment located in Praia de Luz is very pretty, tastefully furnished. It has high quality services and in particular a small (but sufficient) private swimming pool). The view is beautiful. The exchanges with Valérie were very fluid and efficient. This accommodation has greatly contributed to the success of our holiday in the Algarve.

August 2019 Simply one of our favourite European holidays. The location, the correspondence with Val, weather, facilities and activities in the area was all superb. Apartment situated right on the sea front, ground floor but elevated so your not overlooked from the footpath. Apartment was excellently furnished and it's obviously well kept and well looked after. Views from the garden are wonderful. Plenty of seating and space, small splash pool but more than adequate. All correspondence through Valgarve was excellent - quick response, very friendly, helpful and informative. One of the best experiences we've had 👍 Location is perfect, plenty of very good restaurants all within easy walking distance. Bus stop at top of hill for those without a car that want to explore Lagos etc. Supermarkets within 5min walking distance which cater for all needs. If I had to find fault with anything it would be the lack of aircon as at night the rooms do become warm - however there are fans in each bedroom which does help. Would we return? Without doubt! And we are in 2020 . As a family of 5 with 2 teenage kids there is plenty on offer to satisfy all needs. I would highly recommend this apartment.

We have just returned for an amazing 10 day visit to Luz. We stayed in 22B. What a cracker it is. It has everything and more you would want from a holiday villa (in fact I could live in it full time). Nice open plan kitchen lounge with a dining table if you want to eat inside. 3 double bedrooms. The master room has a very comfortable bed we didn’t have any trouble sleeping.
Outside there are sun loungers for 4 and a dining table and chairs for 6. All of top quality.
The pool is refreshing and big enough to cool down in. The garden is well looked after and has given me some ideas that I can do to mine back home. The view from the terrace is truly amazing, I can sit for hours just watching and listening to the sea, and watching the people go by. Love it! The property is just a couple of minutes walk to the supermarket, bars and restaurants and if you want to visit Lagos the bus stop is very close by. Just make sure you check the timetable they don’t run very frequently at the weekend. As we found out 🤦🏻♀️
