Detailed Description
This wonderful ground floor beach apartment certainly takes pride of place overlooking the beach and open sea with stunning views of the Black Rock. One can walk to all local amenities in a matter of a few minutes, therefore car hire is not necessary.
The apartment is adjacent to the new ZaSU/Boaty's beach bar restaurant.
The accommodation having four bedrooms will sleep 6 adults + 2 children or 7 adults. We do not offer to 8 Adults
The apartment looks out over a large paved garden, interspersed with flower borders and having its own private kidney shaped pool with ladder steps (shallow end 90cm, deep end 145cm and length is 565cm, width 275cm). For those with children, one can literally stand by the wall at the bottom of the garden which overlooks the beach and watch the family in the sea!! A BBQ is provided.
There is a good selection of outside furniture providing more than adequate sunbathing, al-fresco dining and relaxation for up to 8 people.
The accommodation is entered via the front door into a long hallway off which are 2 bedrooms (one twin and one double) . One of the bedrooms has a shower room (shower/wc/basin) There is one further full bathroom. The third bedroom with a bit larger than a three quarter bed is fairly small making it more suitable for "one" adult or "two children"
Bedroom 4 (master bedroom) has a double bed and patio doors out to the sun terrace and has a shower room en-suite.
The modern fully fitted kitchen is equipped with washing machine, full cooker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave plus all usual utensils needed for your party.
The well furnished lounge has comfortable seating, dining table and chairs, Internet driven TV, , DVD/Hi Fi . Woodburner (logs not supplied)
From the lounge there are patio doors leading to the large well equipped sun terrace. For winter months the apartment has electric wall radiators

Review of 24c Rua Do Poco
6 July 2025 A beautiful villa, ideal location! We were the envy of the neighbouring villas who requested how to book it! Praia da Luz is a great place to stay with teens and adults, lovely restaurants and bars. The beach is lovely and sitting on the balcony at night listening to the waves added to a relaxing break. The villa was cleaned twice whilst we were there. Communication with the agent/management team was excellent and helped with our transfers to and from Faro. The pool was just right to cool down, we renamed it the plunge pool. Highly recommend! 5 stars all the way

We have just returned from the most perfect family holiday in Praia da Luz staying at Rua da Poca
It was stunning.
The photos do not capture how beautiful the location is. Sitting on the terrace early morning or later in the evening listening to the sea cannot be matched.
Despite a lovely cocktail bar( very lovely cocktails!) being next door there is no disruption to sleep or atmosphere for the family.
The villa is well furnished with all you could need. Valerie helped with the transfer arrangements and was always available with any queries we had. Cleaners visited twice during our 10 day stay. The village is beautiful, great bars and restaurants to suit all tastes, cheap and cheerful or high end. All within a 10 min walk so no car required. Local supermarkets are well stocked and we were able to book a free delivery for day 2 of the holiday. The plunge pool is ideal for cooling off in the heat. The beach is less than 5 mins away and we enjoyed several early morning dips. We had several neighbours asking how and where we had found such a great place to stay. I was reluctant to share the details as we are very much planning to return. Family goals achieved and hope to be back next year, and the year after and……..

Just returned from the most fantastic 3 weeks in Luz.
We are, and have been regular visitors to Luz for the past 21 years and so are very familiar with the village – but this was our first time using Valgarve and staying in 24C!

24C : Just wow! – we have stayed in some beautiful accommodation in the past but the location of 24C is simply outstanding – quite literally the best spot ever. We have noticed this property previously from our sun loungers on the beach – so actually staying in it for our holiday was real luxury.
Waking every morning to the sound of the waves was pure bliss. The accommodation surpassed our expectations on every level, from the décor, the well equipped kitchen, the wonderful terrace and outstanding view – we spent the mornings by the pool and garden area and wandered the few strides required to the beach and restaurants every afternoon – it was wonderful! Not quite sure that anywhere else is now going to be acceptable to us as the bar has been set so high 😊 ...and so until we return...........
Using Valgarve has been simply seamless – Val ensured that from our initial contact with her that all of our requirements were met perfectly. We used the transfer service – seamless – and the car hire – seamless too.
We quite literally could not have asked for anything more – even when our teenagers managed to lock us out of the accommodation on the final day! Within 10 minutes assistance was on hand to rectify the situation! Truly a fantastic service – and we are therefore already organising our next trip!

June 2023 - Ally . Oh my goodness where do I start! Our whole week in Luz was perfection from start to finish. 24C is the most beautiful home, with the best possible location to enjoy all the best bits of the town. Being literally only a 2 minute walk to the beach was incredible, with 2 kids in tow, one just a toddler, this was a huge plus not having to navigate hills or long treks, we could leave the pram at home and just potter to the beach as we pleased. The house even had beach umbrellas, buckets, spades and beach chairs available to use at the beach which was a huge plus!
Also being so close to the promenade made evening outings to the many restaurant options a breeze (we particularly loved Za Zu next door, A Concha and Forteleza). And the supermarkets were only a couple of minute stroll around the corner for stocking up on everything which was so handy.
The house itself was amazing. One week was NOT enough... I wish I could stay for a month! The 4 bedrooms were more than adequate, we only ended up using 2 (as my kids were particularly clingy and wanted to sleep in the same room which was fine! So 2 never got used!). The beds were very comfy, the bathrooms were clean, loads of wardrobe space. The kitchen and living area were perfect! Nice open plan living, and being able to open up the patio doors extended the area outdoors which was fabulous.
The patio area and pool were spectacular!! Oh my goodness what a view! Being that close to the beach was a treat, listening to those waves day and night was so soothing. And the pool was brilliant, especially after returning from the beach or other outing when we were hot and being able to jump in the pool to cool off was so fab, and there was ample chairs and loungers to relax outdoors around the pool. We ate alfresco every night we were home with nibbles on the gorgeous outdoor dining set.
The cleaning staff we encountered were so incredibly friendly, and the pool guy as well. Such pleasant chatty people.
The home is next to Za Zu bar/ restaurant. Yes there is music that plays daily and into the evenings there, a little noisier on weekends, but honestly it didn't bother us one bit. In fact I quiet enjoyed having the music playing as it just adds to the holiday atmosphere!! I loved sitting out on the patio in the evening listening to the music and the waves after the kids were asleep with a glass of wine. Pure bliss!! If you want somewhere totally quiet this probably isn't the right location for you!
Oh gosh I didn't want to leave and I will 100% be booking again to come back another year as we had the best time ever!! Thank you so much for letting us share this little beauty of a house in the most wonderful town in Portugal!!

Had a lovely stay at 24c, it is the most perfect location and everywhere is easy to get to including Lagos a short taxi or bus ride away, Luz has ample restaurants though. Apartment is clean, and well equipped , everything you need for a relaxing beach break. Plenty of space in the terrace, I stayed with six friends and had a great time

We have just returned from the most amazing week in this superb villa. The location was outstanding - overlooking the beach and with a wealth of high quality restaurants within a 1 minute stroll.
The villa had everything - a swimming pool, plenty of sunbeds, 4 double bedrooms, a well equipped kitchen and a BBQ as well. I have booked 4 other villas through Valgarve but this one is, without a shadow of a doubt, the nicest we have ever stayed in (and the others were stunning too).
We will definitely be returning for another holiday to 24c Rua Do Poco in the very near future - thank you once again for a great holiday!"

DECEMBER 2020/JANUARY 2021. We have just returned from 10 glorious days in Luz, organized through Val, who made the booking process very easy. We stayed at 24C Rua de Poco and cannot recommend it highly enough. The apartment is spacious and comfortable. The beds were comfortable and bathrooms and kitchen modern and fully equipped. The large rear garden with pool was a quiet and relaxing place to enjoy the sunrises and sunsets on the ocean. I am looking forward to my next visit. Anne Maxwell
